Kristen Stewart joins Lord Huron for “Who Laughs Last?” a cinematic new single blending spoken word and film-noir elements.

Lord Huron has returned with their haunting new single, “Who Laughs Last?” featuring Academy Award-nominated actress Kristen Stewart in her recording debut. Released via Mercury Records, the track combines spoken word, cinematic instrumentation, and Lord Huron’s signature storytelling.

The song begins with a moody guitar riff and a pulsing beat, setting the tone for a haunting narrative. Kristen Stewart’s spoken word performance takes listeners into an introspective space, with vivid descriptions like: “I kept my eyes on the long white lines.” As the tension builds, Ben Schneider delivers the song’s resonant hook: “You don’t remember what I said, but you’ll remember what I did.”

The Lynchian-inspired music video, starring Stewart, amplifies the track’s cinematic quality with its noir-style visuals and suspenseful atmosphere.

Speaking about the collaboration, Schneider shared: “I’d been a fan of Kristen’s work for years and kept hearing her voice as I wrote this song. I reached out, thinking it was a long shot, but she was immediately interested. She brought incredible ideas to the project, making the collaboration feel effortless and inspiring.”
