Rising alt-pop voice LALA HAYDEN unveils “beast,” the final track on her EP “viva venus” — a bold look at identity, love, and vulnerability.

LALA HAYDEN has dropped “beast,” the stirring final track from her newly completed EP viva venus. The London/Barcelona-based artist’s distinct blend of synth-pop and emotionally intelligent lyricism continues to establish her as a defining voice of alt-pop’s new wave.

“‘beast’ had to go on the EP from day one,” LALA shares. “It’s a moment where all my guards are down. We’re encouraged to be brands online — but who gets to see the full human experience? This track was my answer to that.”

A collaboration with Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes, Françoise Hardy), the EP blends intimacy with empowerment. Across its four tracks, viva venus reflects modern love, the search for identity, and the pressure of digital culture.

“My music is always a love letter to a female archetype,” LALA explains. “This time, it’s Venus — a symbol of love, sex, fertility, victory. I wanted to explore how she lives in today’s world.”

From the hypnotic melancholy of “honeymoon suite” to the Madonna-meets-Kate Bush pulse of “rush of love,” the EP offers multiple shades of emotional truth. Meanwhile, “baby you’re the best!” presents emotional neglect wrapped in shimmering electro-pop.

With support from NME, DIY, Vogue, and performances at festivals like The Great Escape and Eurosonic, LALA HAYDEN’s rising influence feels undeniable. With viva venus, she’s created a soundtrack for vulnerability, empowerment, and everything in between — and “beast” is its bold final word.
