Olivia Lunny Drops “Marilyn,” A Confident Pop Anthem From “Velvet & Denim”

Olivia Lunny’s “Marilyn” is a bold single that nods to Marilyn Monroe and modern empowerment.
Canadian pop star Olivia Lunny reveals her boldest track yet with the release of “Marilyn,” out now via Electric Feel. The single is featured on her upcoming album Velvet & Denim, arriving this summer.
Inspired by the allure of Marilyn Monroe, “Marilyn” is a high-energy anthem about owning your power and feeling magnetic. “It’s about stepping into your power, feeling yourself and embracing your beauty unapologetically,” says Lunny. “It’s also an ode to the queen of confidence herself, Marilyn Monroe.”
“Marilyn” builds on the success of recent singles “Heaven” and “City of Angles,” offering listeners a taste of Velvet & Denim—an album that explores emotional duality and self-empowerment through genre-blending pop.
Following the breakout of her EP Heartbreak on Repeat, which surpassed 7 million streams, Olivia is poised for a massive 2025. She will make her US festival debut at The Governors Ball, play LIDO Festival in London, and support Justin Timberlake in Dublin and Belfast.
