Ally Salort Releases “Horror Movie,” a Haunting New Single Out Now

Ally Salort explores heartbreak with “Horror Movie,” her latest release via Disruptor/RCA Records. Out now.
Los Angeles-based artist Ally Salort, originally from Maplewood, New Jersey, releases her evocative new single “Horror Movie” via Disruptor Records/RCA Records. Drawing on cinematic metaphors and emotionally raw lyrics, the song paints a gripping picture of heartbreak, where love becomes the antagonist.
“Horror movie is one big metaphor for going back to a person that will hurt you every time,” Ally shares. “Opening the door (the relationship) that everyone around you is screaming for you to not open; very similar to the girl that dies first in every scary film. I had the lines ‘I’m damned if I do but I’ll be more damned if I don’t’ and from there we wrote the chorus. Can’t wait for people to hear the whole thing!”
A music lover from a young age, Ally began taking voice lessons at seven, inspired by her brother’s performances. Her big break came through a talent competition that brought her to LA at age 14, leading to studio sessions and industry meetings. She then grew a loyal following through online covers and original songs shared across YouTube and TikTok.
Fresh off a European tour with Mackenzy Mackay, she’s channeling her creative energy into a debut EP. With influences ranging from Ariana Grande to Fiona Apple, Ally continues to create introspective, relatable pop that resonates deeply.
