Calum Hood’s Debut Solo Album ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ is Here, Alongside “Sunsetter” Video

Calum Hood’s ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ marks his solo debut, featuring “Sunsetter”—available now.
Calum Hood steps into his own spotlight with the release of ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, his debut solo album now out via Capitol Records. Paired with the new visual for “Sunsetter,” the project marks a striking reinvention for the longtime 5 Seconds of Summer member.
The album reflects a personal transformation—emotionally rich and musically adventurous. “My lyrics come from a place of purity,” Calum shares. “It was important to pay homage to that side of my younger self.”
Written with Jackson Phillips (Day Wave) and produced with contributions from David Burris and TMS, the record spans indie pop, analog warmth, and digital noise—an intentional chaos with moments of calm clarity.
The opening track “Don’t Forget You Love Me” earned early praise from Rolling Stone and serves as the record’s emotional heart. Songs like “Sweetdreams,” “All My Affection,” and “Call Me When You Know Better” highlight the album’s contrast—each track another piece in a wider emotional puzzle.
Through ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, Calum redefines his artistry, proving that behind the scenes he was always a songwriter first. The result is one of the year’s most intimate and thoughtfully produced solo debuts.
