Cameron Whitcomb Releases Stripped-Down “Medusa (Acoustic)”

Cameron Whitcomb reimagines his hit song with “Medusa (Acoustic),” following the original’s 26M global streams.
Cameron Whitcomb, the acclaimed singer-songwriter from Nanaimo, BC, has released “Medusa (Acoustic),” a heartfelt reimagining of his widely praised single. The original version of “Medusa” earned a place on Billboard’s “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs” and has amassed over 26 million global streams, resonating deeply with fans.
The acoustic rendition arrives as Whitcomb prepares for an exciting 2025. Recently named to Amazon Music’s 2025 Artists To Watch and Shazam’s Fast Forward 2025, Whitcomb is also featured globally on the cover of Apple Music’s Today Country.
Whitcomb’s Hundred Mile High Tour—kicking off March 13 in Charlotte, NC—includes a sold-out show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 28. Due to overwhelming demand, a second date has been added at the same venue on March 24. Before the US leg, Whitcomb will perform headline shows in Canada during February, followed by a nearly sold-out Australian tour supporting Sam Barber on the Restless Mind Tour.
Following the success of his debut EP, Quitter, released in 2024, Whitcomb continues to draw attention for his authentic and emotionally charged music. The EP includes standout tracks like “Quitter,” praised by Billboard as “an anthemic folk track in the mold of Noah Kahan,” which earned over 42 million streams and charted on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
With “Medusa (Acoustic),” Cameron Whitcomb once again delivers a performance that highlights his raw talent and emotional depth, setting the stage for another milestone year.
