Cian Ducrot, the Irish GRAMMY®-winning artist known for his emotional ballads and songwriting prowess, is stepping into a new sonic era. His sophomore album Little Dreaming is officially set for release on July 11 via Darkroom/Polydor/Capitol. The project is available for pre-order now in digital, vinyl, cassette, and CD formats.
Accompanying the announcement is the debut of the music video for the album’s lead single, “Little Dreaming.” Featuring standout performances by Lola Petticrew and Hazel Doupe from Say Nothing, and Chris Walley of The Young Offenders, the video delivers a humorous and stylish narrative. Ducrot plays Juno Lush, a flamboyant diva-in-the-making whose solo ambitions unravel under stage lights. It’s a cheeky homage to pop fantasy and authenticity.
With lyrics like, “I can take it full Picasso, I don’t care who wore it first…” the song celebrates freedom of expression and personal identity—wrapped in shimmery glam-pop production with vintage flair. Little Dreaming represents a new creative phase for Cian, infusing his signature heart-on-sleeve honesty with bold production inspired by pop icons like Elton John, Queen, and Michael Jackson.
He worked closely with producers and writers such as Lostboy, Theo Hutchcraft, Tristan Salvati, Anton Göransson, and Isabella Sjöstrand to craft a cohesive, emotionally rich record. The album follows a string of highlights for Ducrot, including touring with Teddy Swims, singing both national anthems at the Ireland vs. France rugby match, and earning a GRAMMY® for co-writing SZA’s hit “Saturn.” He’ll hit the road again this year with a major EU/UK tour.
