Damian Lazarus Explores Pop-Electronica Fusion with Bloom Twins on “Alive”

Lazarus expands his Magickal universe with “Alive,” a collaboration featuring Bloom Twins and Mark Ralph.
Damian Lazarus adds a compelling new entry to the Crosstown Rebels catalogue with “Alive,” a poignant collaboration featuring Bloom Twins. The single comes on the heels of Lazarus’ fifth studio album Magickal, which arrived earlier this year with a surprise drop coinciding with Day Zero 2025.
“Alive” sees Lazarus return to working with producer Mark Ralph—who previously shaped parts of Smoke The Monster Out—creating a sonic throughline between his earliest and latest work. Bloom Twins, the Ukrainian-born, London-based sisters known for their dark-pop sensibility, bring haunting vocal performances that give the track its emotional center.
The production is crisp yet lush, weaving electronic elements with warmth and a human touch. It’s a refined track that straddles the line between dancefloor functionality and cinematic introspection.
Also included is a remix from Canadian artist Nick Morgan, whose deep, winding reimagining offers another lens through which to experience “Alive.” Following his praised 2024 remix of AIRRICA’s “Hi Speed Lover,” Morgan’s return to the label feels like a natural evolution.
In “Alive,” Lazarus once again proves his ability to find harmony in contrast—between genres, collaborators, and emotional tones. It’s a sound that’s uniquely his, and it only continues to grow.
