Daniel Seavey Drops “Gateway Drug” Ahead of Upcoming Solo Album

Daniel Seavey shares “Gateway Drug,” a fun pop-rock anthem, and teases more music with his solo album on the way.

Daniel Seavey, known for his work as a multi-instrumentalist and producer, has released his latest single “Gateway Drug,” now streaming with an official music video via Atlantic Records. The song is the product of his third collaboration with producer Michael Pollack, who has worked with artists such as Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.

Seavey has been performing “Gateway Drug” live on tour with Benson Boone, building momentum for his forthcoming debut solo album. The song follows earlier singles “The Older You Get” and “Other People,” showcasing Seavey’s playful take on pop-rock.

“Music is becoming fun for me again,” Seavey explains. “‘Gateway Drug’ is a super fun song, and that’s exactly what I intended it to be.”

Seavey’s career has seen many milestones, including a viral debut at Lollapalooza this summer. In addition to touring with Benson Boone, Seavey will perform at Austin City Limits and embark on an Australian arena tour with Dean Lewis later this year. Seavey and Lewis recently gave fans a sneak peek with a duet version of Coldplay’s “Fix You.”
