FINNEAS drops “2001” video featuring Kate Hudson and Claudia Sulewski’s Kubrick-inspired direction.
FINNEAS releases the official video for “2001”, from his sophomore album For Cryin’ Out Loud! [Interscope Records]. The video, directed by Claudia Sulewski, stars Kate Hudson as a film director and FINNEAS as her smitten leading man, in a whimsical visual inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Sulewski shared her creative vision:
“When I first started conceptualizing this music video, I knew I wanted to pay homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey… To play off Finneas’s lyrics, I wanted to mix in some light, cheeky moments between Finneas and Kate.”
The release follows a SOLD-OUT global tour and FINNEAS’ scoring debut for Apple TV+’s Disclaimer, directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
This summer includes major festival appearances in Europe before FINNEAS returns to North America for Osheaga, Outside Lands, and Lollapalooza.
