iyla Shares “Corset” Visual and Announces ‘Weeping Angel’ Debut Album

iyla releases emotional “Corset” video, the latest single from debut album Weeping Angel, due August 8.
Visual storytelling takes center stage as iyla drops the cinematic video for “Corset,” a deeply personal single from her debut album Weeping Angel, out August 8.
With Justin Moser directing and iyla overseeing the creative direction, the video brings to life symbolic imagery that complements the emotional complexity of the track. With artistry from Sasha Glasser, Raylene Guzmán, and Carlos Aviles, the visuals mirror the emotional impact at the heart of the song.
The track itself, produced by Kadis, captures the push and pull of desire and self-protection. With its lyrical metaphor of a corset down the spine, the song presents a powerful portrayal of vulnerability wrapped in control.
This visual launch comes alongside the announcement of Weeping Angel, a project written during a period of profound personal transformation following the passing of iyla’s mother.
“I hope this resonates,” she shares. “But I feel less pressure about anybody else’s opinions.”
