Rising artist Josiah Queen delivers Yesterday Is Dead, an exhilarating new single that celebrates renewal, freedom, and faith. Out now via Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG), the track follows the success of Can’t Steal My Joy featuring Brandon Lake, which amassed over 12.5 million streams earlier this year.
Blending elements of Americana and contemporary Christian music, Yesterday Is Dead features a soaring melody and a powerful chorus: “I keep my eyes / On what lies ahead / Today is a new day / Yesterday is dead.” Co-written and produced by John Michael Howell, the song’s uplifting message has already resonated with fans, generating over three million views in teaser clips ahead of its release.
Queen shares, “‘This song is about the freedom I have found in Jesus. It represents stepping away from past regrets and embracing the hope of a new day.’”
Queen will perform Yesterday Is Dead on Fox & Friends Weekend on Easter Sunday (April 20) as part of the 2025 Faith & Friends Concert Series.
