Kassi Ashton & Parker McCollum share heartfelt duet ‘Sounds Like Something I’d Say’

Kassi Ashton & Parker McCollum release ‘Sounds Like Something I’d Say,’ a powerful duet ahead of Made From The Dirt: The Blooms.
Country artists Kassi Ashton and Parker McCollum come together for “Sounds Like Something I’d Say,” a song filled with raw emotion and heartfelt storytelling. The single will be part of Kassi’s upcoming deluxe album, Made From The Dirt: The Blooms, arriving April 25 via MCA Nashville.
Speaking about the track, Kassi recalls:
“Parker is a great friend of mine and I love his voice. The first time I ever heard him sing this song, we were backstage at the Ryman. I knew I had to cut it and that he had to sing it with me.”
Parker, who had long wanted Kassi to record the song, adds:
“Kassi has been one of my favorite singers in Nashville for quite some time. I had a demo in my phone of her singing this song for a few years. After begging her to record it for a long time, she finally said she’d do it if I’d sing on it with her. I’m so glad I decided to do it and I hope it hits all the feels when people hear it.”
With a Top 40 country hit, an ACM nomination, and a headline tour in 2024, Kassi is set for another exciting year as she joins Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood Tour starting April 25 and performs at Audacy’s Leading Ladies event in Brooklyn on April 3.
