Kevian Kraemer’s “Forever” dives deep into pre-breakup emotion and silent heartbreak.

Kevian Kraemer, the 18-year-old Los Angeles-based indie-pop artist, releases his latest single “Forever” via Atlantic Records—an emotional piece written just before the end of a transformative relationship.

The lyrics explore a specific kind of heartbreak: the kind you see coming but can’t stop. Kraemer explains: “I wrote this song a month before my relationship of a year and a half ended because I felt it dying but I didn’t know who to tell.”

“The lyrics in this song are the words that I never told her but I wish she heard,” he continues. “I didn’t actually like who she turned into, or maybe she was really that way all along.”

The accompanying visual was filmed along Rockaway Beach in New York, capturing the introspective mood of the track. Produced by SameSame, whose credits include Shawn Mendes, Portugal. The Man, and Beyoncé, the track balances minimal, emotional soundscapes with a confessional core.

“Forever” follows the success of “Don’t You Dare,” which gained attention on social platforms, and builds on Kraemer’s 2024 EP Seventeen, which included the breakout track “Attention.” The song’s acoustic version “Attention (Stripped)” further showcased his emotive range and songwriting skills.

Kevian Kraemer is stepping further into the spotlight, not just as an artist—but as a storyteller.
