PRINCESS OF POWER has arrived — a defining moment for MARINA, released independently through Queenie Records/BMG. The album is accompanied by the Olivia De Camps-directed visual for “I <3 YOU,” a luminous single built on layered synths and raw truth.
“One of my lessons in the last few years is that love — and showing love — is not a weak thing,” MARINA states. “Of all the superpowers we have as humans, love is our greatest one.”
Following her Coachella performances, MARINA hits WorldPride and Governors Ball this weekend, with a full slate of summer festivals to follow.
Unlike her previous societal critiques, PRINCESS OF POWER turns inward. “It’s really a rebuilding-my-life-from-scratch type of album,” she notes, reflecting the empowering tone that runs through songs like “BUTTERFLY” and “CUNTISSIMO.”
