Ruger Releases “BlownBoy Ru”, Featuring Tiwa Savage, Kranium, and a Global Tour

Ruger’s BlownBoy Ru fuses Afrobeats, dancehall, amapiano and more in a powerful sophomore statement.
Ruger returns with his sophomore album BlownBoy Ru, released via Promised Land Records, and once again redefines Afrodancehall with fearless genre fusion and emotional growth. Featuring a stellar lineup—Tiwa Savage, Kranium, Zlatan, and Haile—the album arrives as Ruger prepares for a major global tour and builds on his momentum as a 2025 MOBO nominee and Spotify Artist to Watch.
“This album is a statement,” Ruger says. “My songwriting has evolved… I still have that raw energy, but now it’s refined, more calculated.”
Key singles include the viral “Toma Toma” featuring Tiwa Savage (30M+ streams), “Jay Jay”—a tribute to Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha—and “DuDu,” the album’s latest single featuring Jamaican star Kranium. The track lands with an official video, channeling the sensual, party-ready tone that defines Ruger’s signature sound.
Additional highlights include the amapiano-soul collaboration “Runaway” with Ugandan artist Haile, and the trap-infused “Give Away” with Nigerian rapper Zlatan.
Earlier this year, Ruger’s COLORS performance of “Toro” went viral, and his debut on BBC 1Xtra Live Lounge introduced a new layer of versatility to his growing global fanbase.
Ruger embarks on a major US and EU tour this spring, with key stops in Philadelphia, Chicago, Brussels, and Vienna, before returning to UK stages in September with headline shows in Manchester, Birmingham, and London.
BlownBoy Ru is a confident, multi-genre project that solidifies Ruger’s place as one of the most vital voices in global Afrobeats.
