SOFI TUKKER usher in their next musical chapter with “Bread (butter version),” a lush, cross-language collaboration with Seu Jorge and the lead single from their upcoming album butter, out May 16.
The reimagined track sees Sophie singing in Portuguese and Seu Jorge in English, a surprising yet natural twist. “He looked at me with such sincerity and thanked me… I was blown away,” Sophie shares.
butter repositions the duo in a more acoustic, jazz-inflected landscape. Drawing on Brazilian and Latin genres and recorded with local talent, the album represents a musical and cultural embrace.
