Trousdale Delivers Emotional Depth and Musical Maturity on “Growing Pains”

The LA trio explores transformation and trust in their sophomore album “Growing Pains”, out now.
Trousdale’s new album Growing Pains is an elegant portrait of transition. The Los Angeles-based trio—Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones—has always stood out for their harmonies, but here they embrace a fuller, more emotionally dynamic sound.
“We’ve been thinking a lot about the tension that comes with change,” says Jones. “Wanting it, fighting it, embracing it — but learning to thrive in that moment.”
That internal tension drives the album’s message: that from emotional discomfort comes growth, and from growth comes transformation. “From what was, something new can always grow,” adds D’Andrea.
Co-produced with John Mark Nelson and featuring a live rhythm section, Growing Pains feels like a sonic step forward. The trio brought in collaborators Mags Duval and Lawrence Rothman, embracing a more open creative process. The result is a more cohesive and immediate sound than ever before — dynamic yet intimate.
“Making Growing Pains has been a journey of growth and reinvention,” Trousdale explains. “We chose to enjoy the process and trust our collaborators. That decision made all the difference.”
At its core, Growing Pains is about facing the unknown with honesty and heart. Trousdale proves that vulnerability isn’t a weakness — it’s a launchpad.
