Will Smith Releases “Pretty Girls” Single & Announces Global Summer Tour

Will Smith returns with new single “Pretty Girls” and world tour, part of his album Based on a True Story.
Will Smith returns to music with “Pretty Girls,” a catchy and confident single made for summer. Released via SLANG Recordings, the track is produced by OmArr and Lexoskeleton and supported by a high-energy video directed by Conor Cunningham.
The new single follows the release of Based on a True Story, Smith’s first full-length album in 20 years. The 14-track project features artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, and Jac Ross and includes the chart-topping gospel hit “You Can Make It.”
Smith debuted “You Can Make It” in a fiery performance at the 2024 BET Awards and soon after earned the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay Chart—his first #1 single since “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It.”
Now, Will Smith is preparing to hit the road for his Based on a True Story Summer Tour. The international run kicks off July 13 in Hamburg and includes festival stops at Mawazine, POSITIV, Dreambeach, and BIG ART.
“Pretty Girls” marks a bright, breezy contrast to some of the deeper tracks on the album—showcasing Smith’s range as a performer and entertainer. With new music, a world tour, and renewed creative energy, Will Smith is writing his next chapter—on his terms.
